Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to an Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch. It was really fun.


Trying to get Esme to sit up long enough to take a picture in the pumpkins was not so easy. Plus it was a little muddy. So she probably got her bunting muddy. Oh well. It was fun and we got some cute pictures.


You can see how tall Esme is getting. It will be fun to go back each year and have her stand by the apple.


There was also a bonfire and you could buy s'mores for $1.



Minnetonka Orchards was really fun! We will definitely be going back there each year.

Beyond formula

Esme seems like she's ready to start eating. She has been very intently watching us whenever we eat. Aaron was eating some ice cream and she was following the spoon with her whole body. Of course when we got out the video camera, she wouldn't do it as much. But we did get some video of it.

Of course in the few days before she was going to get cereal for the fist time, she learned how to do this...

Grandpa Rex would be so proud!

Here is a video of one of the first days of Esme eating cereal. She starts off pretty good!

Yoga poses

Little Miss Esme is moving around quite a bit in her sleep. She will sometimes spin 180 degrees and end up with her head where her feet started. Often I hear "click, click, click" and I will go in there and she's either kicking the side of the crib or she's grabbing the rungs with her hands.

Here are a couple pictures of her sleeping. Yes, she is completely asleep in these pictures. She will lay like this for hours!



She's going to be a great yogi some day! :)

I'm a gopher fan!

Daddy went to the Gopher football game today in the new stadium. Mommy and I stayed home, but I got all dressed up anyway. I wonder if people think I look like a boy? Too bad Mommy doesn't have the courage to pierce my ears yet. Then everyone would know I'm a girl!

Winter is here!

Now that it's getting colder we've been trying various winter accessories with Esme.

Hats and mittens are so hard to get used to.


Some days it's been so cold that we've had to put Esme in her bunting. She seems to do pretty well with it although the hands get awfully soggy since she's a little chewer and drooler.


Cricket likes to give her kisses!


It doesn't make the car seat any more fun though... :(

Bumbo

Esme is so big! She can sit in her Bumbo chair. She seems to really like it until she gets tired and then her head starts to bob.



It's nice because she can sit and visit with Mom and Dad while we are doing dishes or cooking in the kitchen.

Gotta love the Bumbo!
