Scary Esme
Linda came down from Duluth to see Grandma Lois who is visiting my parents. She brought one of the phenomenal costumes that she makes. Esme was brave enough to try it on.

Esme's wall
Between our garage door and our pantry is Esme's wall. We're loving the blue painters tape these days.

Starting off on the right foot
Preschool is going really well. Esme loves it. On Wednesday of last week she got her first homework assignment. One worksheet, due today, Monday. That gave us six days to get the homework done.
Guess when we did it???
That's right. This morning, in our pajamas, an hour before preschool started. Let's hope we're more organized about this kind of thing in the future... :)

Our Olympian
We have a new bedtime routine. It used to be potty, brush teeth, read books and/or sing songs and then go to sleep. Now it's potty, brush teeth, Balance Beam, books, songs and sleep. Esme does a Balance Beam routine or 5 pretty much every single night. Or really any time you go into her room for that matter. She really likes it when someone is the commentator. She'll insist that you be the "director". :)
Here it is!
Watch out Gabby Douglas!!!

Grown up girl
Esme loves to ride this horse at Mamoo and Papa's house. His/her name is Cheyenne. My parents sent me this picture today while I was at work. It's a little blurry since it's a cell phone picture.
I love this picture of her because I feel like I can sort of see who Esme's going to be when she gets older. I imagine that this is a pretty good indication of what she's going to look like as an adult. I can't wait to see. :)

Still rocking the Tricycle
Esme is a cruising girl on three wheels. We often go down the cul-de-sac by our house and back. She will get a little tired at the end but she can make it the whole way on her own. Often distracted by cool things like leaves and rocks, she makes a lot of stops and we come home with treasure every time.
Tonight she was her usual fashionista self... :)
And here's our loot.
God Bless children's treasure.
