It's for the articles!

Esme is infatuated with magazines.  It all started because she ripped one of the pages of her books, so we put all the books with paper pages away and for now the only books she has out have cardboard pages.  We give her magazines sometimes so that if she wants to rip away, she can. 

She laid on the floor yesterday afternoon for about 20 minutes with this magazine.

After this I found a Reader's Digest for her.  Much more manageable size.  I haven't taken any video of it yet but it shouldn't be hard to do.  It goes with her in the car, she drags it around the house, she's pretty much worn it out.  And so far, she hasn't ripped any pages.  We'll see how long that lasts!
